HOMEMADE BALUSHAHI

INGREDIENTS

For dough
  • Wheat Flour – 3 cup
  • Salt – 1/2 tsp
  • Baking powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Baking soda – 1/2 tsp
  • Food color – 1/2 tsp
  • Water – 1-1/4 cup
  • Butter – 1/2 cup
FOR TREACLE
  • Sugar – 2-1/2 cup
  • Water – 1-1/2 cup
  • Cardamom pods – 5

RECIPE

  • First, we will prepare a mixture for the dough. Mix wheat flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, and food color together
  • Now mix water and butter together and add dry ingredients to it
  • Gently make a dough with soft hands to have crispy flakes
  • Now make dough balls and fry them
  • Make treacle on medium flame with water, sugar, and cardamom pods
  • Now dip fried balushahi in treacle
  • Bring them out and serve them in a dish
